[00:00:00] Ever open your laptop or go over to your desktop ready to finally get that blog, post caption or email done, and instead you just sit there staring at that blinking cursor. Here's the truth, you're not alone. That blank page is one of the most common struggles I hear from small business owners and entrepreneurs.
And guess what? It's not your fault.
Welcome to Simplified Solutions, your go-to resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking practical advice, innovative strategies, and simple solutions for business, marketing and technology. I'm your host, Kristina Stubblefield. If you're eager to take your business to greater heights, then you're in the right place.
We're here to help you unleash your business's untapped potential, boost your visibility, and maximize your [00:01:00] investments. Let's dive into the world of simplified solutions. Stay tuned and let's simplify success together.
Today I'm going to share with you exactly how I use ChatGPT to eliminate the fear of that blank page. And how you can use it to go from, I have no idea what to even write to, wow, that sounds like me, in just a few steps. And to make it even better, you don't need a tech degree or a team, you just need the right setup.
I've been fortunate to work with hundreds of small business owners, including service-based businesses and also organizations and consultants, and one of the biggest aha moments I see is when they finally stop fighting [00:02:00] ChatGPT, and they focus on training it. One of the people that stand out to me, uh, that I've been fortunate to work with, said that they used to spend three hours writing a blog post.
Now ChatGPT drafts it for them in five minutes or less, and then they just tweak it and the best part. It sounds like their brand, it sounds like it came from them. Why? Because it did. That's the difference with pre baking. It can make a huge difference. For ChatGPT, if you are ready to stop fighting that blank page, grab my free worksheet pre baking the oven.
How to train, ChatGPT to sound like your brand. It only takes about 10 minutes to fill out, but it can save you hours every single week. Now, let's break down the [00:03:00] problem a little more. Most people open ChatGPT and say something like, write me a blog post about five tips for their industry. And then they wonder why the results feel flat, maybe seem robotic, or it sounds nothing like them.
Here's why. They skipped the warmup ChatGPT isn't psychic. It's powerful, but only when you give it context. Think about it like hiring a new assistant. You wouldn't just throw them a task with no direction, right? You'd explain who, what your tone is, your audience, what you like, what you don't like, how you communicate, and maybe even what your goals are.
That's exactly what pre-baking the oven does,
[00:04:00] and here's what I recommend you do before any writing task with ChatGPT. Give it your brand voice. Copy and paste a section of your about page or a past blog post that you wrote or that represents your brand. Tell it who you help and how you help them. Here's an example. I'm a business coach who helps creative entrepreneurs simplify their marketing and build consistent content habits.
Set the tone. Do you want casual and friendly or clear and professional? Encouraging and confident ChatGPT needs to know that information. Let's set your goal. What are you trying to achieve? Do you wanna nurture your [00:05:00] audience? Do you wanna promote an offer? Build trust? Remember, it's not psychic. It doesn't know what you're thinking or what you want.
Now you're no longer typing into a blank machine. You are giving your digital assistant a real briefing.
Now I wanna give you some real prompts you can use after pre-baking the oven. That's really important. After you spend the time sharing with ChatGPT about you and your business, write me a friendly email to re-engage past clients who haven't booked in six months. My tone is confident but warm. Here's another example.
Give me 10 blog titles that would speak to overwhelmed moms [00:06:00] looking for natural wellness tips. It's more details than just give me 10 blog titles. Next create five Instagram captions, promoting my summer mini sessions, each one using a different angle. Next up, turn this blog post into a short form script I can use for a reel. Keep it conversational now, the best part because ChatGPT knows you now. It's not just giving you ideas, it's giving relevant on brand, easy to use ideas.
If you want to see what a difference this makes, download the pre-baking the oven worksheet. It walks you through the exact questions to answer once and then reuse again and again. Every time you open a [00:07:00] chat,
just use the link to download it or go to KristinaStubblefield.com and get access to it in my resource center.
And there's something else I wanna share with you all. Using AI like ChatGPT doesn't mean you're outsourcing your creativity. It means you're amplifying it. If you've ever felt stuck writing captions or you've put off sending emails because you don't know what to say, you are not lazy.
You're just doing it without support. ChatGPT becomes way more supportive when you give it your vision, your tone, and your goals to work with. Think of it as a collaboration tool. So instead of opening a blank doc and wasting 30 minutes on what to say, you spend 60 seconds prompting ChatGPT, and you're often running with real content that [00:08:00] sounds like you, the blank page.
Not so scary anymore. And if you're done staring at the screen wondering, gosh, where do I start? Make sure you grab that worksheet and get ChatGPT working with you, not against you. And if this information helped at all, make sure to hit the subscribe button and share it with a fellow business owner who's stuck in the same spot.
Because we don't need more pressure. We need better tools.
Here's what I wanna share with you. In closing, you've got something to say. Let's get it out there. Until next time, take care and keep growing your business.
